Huntree Nursery mid-September Newsletter 2024

Hi there tree lovers, Look around. It looks like FALL but it shouldn’t yet. Trees are getting their fall color and some are turning brown. But it’s a little early and it’s a sign of stress. If you have planted a new tree or shrub this year, please, please, please get out the hose and turn on the water. Deep water! Thoroughly soak your prized possessions. We keep getting just small amounts of rain, but it hasn’t been enough to soak way down into the deep root area. As I drove around today and looked around I am getting a... View Article

Huntree Nursery Newsletter Late August 2024

HUNTREE NURSERY NEWSLETTER         MID JUNE 2024 We’re trudging through June. We made it through the awful heat and dryness.  Whew!  Congratulations to us all.  A few plants did not fare so well.  We have been getting sad pics of plant casualties.    It was a stressful time and some just ran out of water and turned brown.  Others had some browning of leaves.   Chances are it may not be fatal.   So don’t be hasty to put them on the brush pile.   They may push out new leaf buds so encourage them with extra water and loving care.   Make sure those challenged...
