  Hi there fellow gardeners!   How can summer be over already????   It’s just not fair!    Oh, but we do love the fall season.  Time to get excited for change.  That’s always invigorating. Mums, ornamental cabbage and kale, ornamental peppers, Montauk Daisies, etc.  will be here tomorrow, and the daffodil and tulip bulbs, etc.  are heading this way in a week or so (as soon as they get off the boat from the Netherlands, literally).  It’s like Christmas when they arrive! Happy Summer Solstice to You! Hi there, fellow gardeners! It’s June… and it’s hot! LETS ALL DO A RAIN DANCE!!!! This is a CRAZY and highly unusual June. Mother Nature is very stingy with the water and this drought makes us very nervous. Here are top watering tips for you: • Please get out your hoses and soak your precious plants…even your established ones… Daily for new plantings. • Oscillating sprinklers work great because they cover a larger surface. Hi out there! We are really sorry we have to shout out to you through a newsletter instead of out the front door.  We are chomping at the bit to get going this season, and it’s surely not happening soon enough.  I am not even going to say the word that we are all very sick of hearing.   This is the situation.  We cannot sell anything.  We cannot deliver.  So the best we an do is compile a list of anyone who wants a delivery or wants to be called just as soon as we can open up.  Give... Howdy! Can you believe it’s coming to an end??? There’s still a lot to do outside, so you better get out there if we get some sun and no wind. It’s not fun being out there in the snow putting away the hose. Trim your Hydrangeas. Need advice? Hi There!   Hope you are enjoying this lovely summer weather! Fortunately, Mother Nature hasn’t sent us drought. We are looking lush from the lovely rains. Yay!Looking for screening plant material in the shade? (Shade can be a special challenge.) We have some great ideas for you. You don’t have to have evergreens (which don’t like to grow in the shade and are slow to fill in) to provide screening from your neighbors.
