What are Mycorrhizae?
April 7, 2025 6:14 pmMycorrhizae are beneficial fungus which attach to plant roots to form a network which improves the uptake of nutrients available to a plant. Mycorrhizae are incorporated into the Espoma fertilizers to give your plants an extra boost.
Mycorrhizae expand the effectiveness of nutrient and water uptake in a plant. These hyphae attach to the root hairs, extending the root structure by nearly two feet, thus extracting more nutrients and water and at a faster rate. They can also store nutrients and water, releasing them when needed.
